Calgary police have recovered several truck tailgates as part of an investigation into stolen property.
David Smith, 41 is charged with theft under $5,000, and possession of marijuana.
The cache of truck parts was found in the 8000 block of Huntington Road N.E.
Police are now trying to determine the rightful owners of the property.
The investigation is ongoing and further charges are pending.
Police say the high replacement cost of tailgates and other truck accessories has created a demand for thieves, and they're encouraging truck owners to keep their tailgates locked.
