Many residents of Bragg Creek are still up in arms about a proposed provincial forest management plan.

The plan calls for logging a series of firebreaks west of the community which opponents say will destroy trails and make profits for a local sawmill.

The group, called "Sustain Kananaskis", held a public meeting on Wednesday night that featured its own panel of experts.

The province says that the fire breaks are needed to protect the community from wildfires.

If approved, the forest management plane would begin work later in 2012.
