We knew it was going to be the hottest ticket in town, but many are surprised by how quickly the show sold out.

At 10am on Saturday, tickets for Garth Brooks' performance at the Stampede went on sale. Fans could only get tickets online or by phone.

The Stampede doesn't know exactly how fast the tickets sold but Varnell Enterprises Inc, which represents Garth Brooks, says all 15,322 tickets sold in 58 seconds.  It may have taken some longer to actually get their confirmation because of the time it takes Ticketmaster to process all the requests.

Disappointed fans are now facing a much higher fee than the original price of $62 per seats.

By 10:30am, over 200 tickets were available on StubHub. Seats are ranging in price from $375 per ticket, to $2750.

Varnell Enterprises Inc. says it is distressed to hear there are bulk tickets for sale on StubHub because "Garth has campaigned vigorously against ticket scalping his entire career. "

CTV Calgary has tried contacting Ticketmaster several times but so far our calls have gone unanswered.
