Bell Let's Talk Day is led by national spokesperson Clara Hughes and encourages all Canadians to join the conversation about mental health.

Bell will donate 5 cents to programs dedicated to mental health for every text message sent and long distance call made by Bell and Bell Aliant customers on February 8.

All Canadians can participate by retweeting the Bell Let's Talk Day message @Bell_LetsTalk. For each retweet on February 8, Bell will donate an additional 5 cents.

CTV Calgary is focusing on teenagers and mental health and is looking at stress and depression.

Many teenagers say that they are under stress and for some that can also lead to depression.

Lindsay Hope-Ross is a Psychologist with Healthy Minds Healthy Children.

She offers a very popular seminar to parents about teenagers and stress.

She helps parents recognize behaviors that could indicate that their teenagers need help.

"They may withdraw from activities that they used to like to do, They may start over eating or under eating. They may wake up more tired than when they went to bed. They complain they are not getting any sleep. They're lethargic. They have difficulty making decisions and seem confused," said Hope-Ross.

One Canadian survey shows that 40 percent of students say they feel under pressure to accomplish more than they can handle.

Too much pressure can result in drastic changes in behavior, so what can teens do to lessen the stress?

The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry advocates playing music, writing in a journal and talking to friends to relieve stress.

According to the Canadian Mental Health Association, one in ten teens reports regularly feeling stressed because they do not have enough time in the day.
