Friends and family are seeking the whereabouts of a popular DJ originally from the Red Deer area who moved to Whistler to pursue his music career.
Michael Grefner, 34, hasn't been seen or heard from since the early morning hours of Tuesday.
He was last seen heading into a night club in Whistler on Monday at around midnight.
A friend told CTV News that he was checking his coat but never met up with him afterwards.
He looked for him but Grefner was nowhere to be seen.
Other friends began to worry when Grefner didn't show up for a DJ gig the following night and say that this behaviour is uncharacteristic of him.
They say that his music is his passion and he never has missed a job before.
Grefner has now been reported missing to RCMP and an investigation has been launched.
They say there is no reason to believe the man's disappearance was a result of foul play.
Meanwhile, friends in B.C. and Alberta have started a Facebook group dedicated to Grefner, tracing his last known movements including cell phone logs and even coordinating a ground search.
