A man has died from his injuries after his vehicle crashed into a light standard on Deerfoot Trail.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene at Deerfoot Trail near the Airport Trail interchange just after 4:15 p.m.
The 41-year-old driver had to be cut out of the vehicle. He was transported to Foothills Medical Centre where he died.
Police shut down the northbound lanes of Deerfoot Trail to investigate and have since reopened two lanes.
There is no word on what caused the crash.
