A suspicious package found at the Calgary International Airport Saturday afternoon prompted a swift reaction from custom agents.

The suspicious bag originated from the Middle East nation of Yemen.

The passenger and bag became separated in Calgary, when the passenger got onto another flight.

U.S. customs x-rayed the unattended bag and were alarmed by the findings.

According to Duty Inspector Paul Stacey of the Calgary Police Service, the CPS tactical unit and bomb technicians have responded to the airport.

More details will follow as they become available.
