A Calgary mother who is accused of trying to kill her newborn son is now charged in the deaths of two other babies.
Meredith Katherine Borowiec, 30, is now charged with two counts of second degree murder.
Officers learned about the deaths of the two infants, one born sometime in 2008 and the other in 2009.
Reports say that the babies likely died shortly after being born but their bodies have not been recovered.
Borowiec is in police custody for the attempted murder of an infant in 2010.
In court on Tuesday, the woman appeared sad, dressed in a green sweatshirt with her long brown hair pulled into a pony tail.
Borowiec didn't speak, but her lawyer spoke briefly on her behalf.
She's expected to remain behind bars until her next court date next week.
