The Calgary Medical Examiner's Office has positively identified a woman who died after she was dropped off at a local hospital on Friday.

Marcella Ann Rose Gramlich, 53, of Calgary, died as a result of blunt force trauma and is the city's seventh homicide victim of 2011.

Police say that Gramlich was dropped off at a northeast hospital around 4:00 a.m. on October 28, 2011 and died a short time later.

A man dropped off the victim and another woman at the hospital. The woman was taken into custody and his since been charged in connection with Gramlich's death.

Diane Ruby Palmantier, 38, is charged with first-degree murder.

Palmantier appeared in court on Monday to answer to the charges.

She did not enter a plea and will be back before a judge on November 14th.
