CTV MORNING LIVE is on the air! CTV Calgary is excited to bring a new brand of morning television to Calgarians with the launch of our new show.

Jefferson Humphreys, Aisling Tomei, Pearl Tsang and Todd Gallant kicked off the show on Monday morning from our new set and introduced a new format to morning television in Calgary.

The show features local and international news, weather, traffic,  and stories and comments from social media.

Calgarians can connect with our CTV MORNING LIVE team while they are on the air through our twitter and facebook pages and add their input to the show.

We asked Calgarians what they looked forward to seeing on CTV MORNING LIVE and our followers responded.

  • Bib Patel ~ looking forward to the morning show. Should be very informative, for instance, didn't realize there was two 5:30's in a day!
  • Dan Welyk ~ looking forward to watching @ctvmorningyyc will be a nice change to the morning routine
  • Tony Pliva ~ attractive people dressed professionally bringing insightful useful news with the odd chuckle
  • Cherylyn Ayers ~ Todd Gallant of course!!! Mornings haven't been the same

The CTV MORNING LIVE team is joined by our experienced group of reporters and producers who are gathering stories from social media and local events to keep Calgarians informed as they start their day.

We are also excited to introduce our innovative traffic system to help commuters ease in to the morning drive.

Beat the Traffic, uses real-time traffic data from a network of GPS-enabled vehicles and cellular transmitters to give a live and accurate look at what is happening on the roads.

The system is also able to pinpoint commute times and assess traffic flow.

The colour green means that traffic flow is traveling at or above the posted speed limit. Yellow means that it is 10 to 15 km/h under the posted speed limit and red indicates that there is a major slow down.

The software allows us to share up-to-date information with our viewers so they can Beat the Traffic and avoid traffic ties ups and collisions.

CTV News Calgary is proud to bring a brand new morning show to Calgarians and southern Albertans and we look forward to waking up with you!
