Thieves have made off with a dozen brand new Nissan vehicles from a local dealership.

The vehicles were stolen from the Sunridge Nissan dealership at 3131 32 Ave. N.E.

The vehicles are worth an estimated $361,000.

Police say that the keys for the vehicles were stolen from the dealership's office during a break-in on Sunday, July 24, 2011.

They believe the offenders entered the dealership through the main door.

The 12 vehicles turned up missing during an inventory count.

Police are warning the public to be wary when purchasing Nissan vehicles like the ones that were stolen.

Buyers should pay attention to those with particularly low mileage and ask the seller to produce proper documentation of ownership.

Police say that the vehicles have been flagged and cannot be registered.
