A man whose body was found near Beiseker on Friday has been identified.
The body of Erick Joseph Danis, 37, of the Airdrie area was found in a field along Highway 566.
An autopsy was conducted on Wednesday by the Calgary Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
The actual cause of death will not be released as that information may be important in furthering the investigation.
Details on how long the deceased was at the location and his condition are also being withheld.
Police remain tight lipped and are not giving specifics on the blanket that he was wrapped in either.
Police say he is known to them.
