A new service will officially launch in Calgary next week to help victims of abuse.

Connect Family and Sexual Abuse Network is a collaboration of 14 community agencies that provides a single access point to Calgary's network of family and sexual abuse services and support.

Connect has a "low threshold" entry point for people who may have unhealthy relationships or sexual experiences, but wouldn't necessarily label them "abusive."

Justice Minister Alison Redford and Calgary Police Chief Rick Hanson will take part in the launch of the service Monday morning.
