Kaitlin Boyda, is an inspiration to her family, friends and community. The Lethbridge teen has an incurable brain tumour and her prognosis is not very good.

Despite her own battle with the disease, she is raising money for one of the leading charity's that helps children in some of the world's poorest countries

Kaitlin was approached by the Children's Wish Foundation and asked what she would like for her last wish. She discussed the options with her family and decided that she would rather help others than herself.

Kaitlin asked the foundation to take the $7500 that was offered and use it to bring safe, clean drinking water to villages in Uganda.

The money was not quite enough to buy one well so the entire Boyda family jumped on board and with the help of Compassion Canada created a web page to raise additional funds.

Kaitlin's wish fund has taken off and they have raised just under $97,000 to date.
