An 18-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of her mother.
Calgary police were called to an condo in the 100 block of 13 Ave. S.W. Wednesday night for a welfare check.
Leanne Mahingen, 38, was found dead on the floor.
An autopsy was completed Thursday afternoon and this incident is being treated as a homicide.
The cause of death was blunt force trauma.
Brittany Jewel Mahingen has been charged with second-degree murder.
