Smoke could be seen from Lethbridge when firefighters from two nearby communities responded to a blaze at the Outlook Pork Feed Mill east of Nobleford Tuesday.

By the time fire crews arrived on scene, one building was already consumed by flames.

Trevor Wade, a feed mill worker, was outside when the first explosion rocked the building.

Wade says, "I was just walking up to the building and I saw the first explosion coming out of the far end, the south end and then everything just went up in flames."

Trapped inside was his father.

Immediately, Wade ran to the south side of the building, where he believed his father was and with help of a friend, they were able to pull both his dad and the other man to safety through a broken window.

Fire officials say everyone escaped without injury.

Explosions continued as flames reached several large containers of canola oil that we being used to make the cattle feed.

Owner Peter Klok stood by watching his family business go up in flames.

Firefighters say it's too early to tell what may have sparked the explosion.

There will be an investigation.
