Police have released the name of a man who was found dead in a southwest alley last week.
The victim is identified as 40-year-old Dean Wilde of Calgary.
On March 17, 2010 police were called out to an alley in the 900 block of 43 Street S.W.
When officers arrived, they found the Wilde dead in the alley.
Wilde and an acquaintance had been in a fight with two young men who then took off.
Police found weapons at the scene.
Police are not releasing the cause of death.
No arrests have been made but investigators say the parties involved knew each other and that the incident is drug related.
