Police are investigating a suspicious death.
Emergency crews were called to the 200 block of 52nd Street NE around 12 a.m. Sunday.
When they arrived on scene, they found an unconscious man lying on the ground in a parking lot.
The man was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators believe the man was injured as a result of an altercation between two small groups of people.
Police aren't sure what caused the altercation, but officers do not believe it was random in nature.
The Homicide Unit is investigating.
No charges have been laid.
An autopsy is being conducted Monday.
The name of the victim will not be released until an autopsy is complete.
Officers have interviewed some witnesses, but they believe others may have seen the attack.
