Facebook tributes are pouring in for 17-year-old Brittney McInnes.
The girl was found dead in a home in the 800 block of Canaveral Crescent in the southwest community of Canyon Meadows.
Hundreds of classmates and friends have posted messages about the Grade 12 student who attended Dr. E.P. Scarlett High School in Calgary.
"She was a really great person and it's a terrible loss and she will be missed terribly by a lot of people," says Kelsey Hansen.
Police say McInnes was found around 5 p.m. on Monday.
The discovery was made several hours after paramedics took a man out of the house on a stretcher.
Police confirm the 17-year-old's parents reported her missing on Sunday.
McInnes' autopsy was completed on Wednesday but investigators do not want to release the cause of death.
