A worker at the Calgary International Airport was killed on Monday.
It happened around 6 a.m. while an employee for Servisair was de-icing a plane.
Officials say the man was in a cherry picker when he fell.
A co-worker, who was de-icing on the other side of the plane, found him. Other workers tried to revive him but he was declared dead at the scene.
"We do not believe foul play was involved. He was alone at the time of the incident. There were other employees nearby but in this particular bucket truck he was alone," says Duty Insp. Rob Williams from the Calgary Police Service.
Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the fall. They say the plane was not running at the time of the accident.
Servisair issued a statement offering sympathies to the victim's family.
The company also says it is working with authorities and regulators and will also be conducting its own investigation.
