Officials announced Friday morning that Queen Elizabeth II and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh will visit Canada in 2010.
The visit will take place from June 28 to July 6 and Manitoba is one of the stops on the tour. Officials say a more detailed itinerary will be released at a later date.
The royals will also visit Nova Scotia and Ontario.
The Queen last visited Manitoba in 2002, during her jubilee tour. The province spent approximately $500,000 on that visit.
