Emergency workers in Alberta are still waiting to find out how they'll receive swine flu vaccinations, despite assurances they'll be next in line.
Tom Sampson, deputy chief of Calgary's Emergency Management Agency, says while they've been told by Alberta Health Services that first responders will be vaccinated in the coming days, they still don't know how that will happen.
The two agencies are expected to meet Monday to hammer out the details.
Sampson says he would like to see emergency workers get the vaccine as quickly as possible.
Rather than making police and firefighters line up at a clinic for the swine flu shots, he says he'd rather see the vaccine taken into police stations or fire halls.
The provincial government says such emergency responders, along with peace officers, will be eligible to receive the vaccination once all the distribution details are finalized.
