Canada Border Services Agency says two violent criminals have been deported.

On Thursday, Sunwoong Youn (aka Jason Youn) was deported for a conviction he received in 2005 for a weapons-related offence. Youn was also the victim of a shooting, which police say was gang related, at Southcentre Mall in 2002.

On Wednesday, Muricio Alberto Cardona Orellana (aka Mauricio Cardona) was deported after being convicted of drug-related offences in Medicine Hat in 2005.

Border officials say both men are permanently barred from coming back to Canada.
