People living in communities outside Calgary are also critical of how the H1N1 vaccination program is being rolled out and they too are facing long wait times.

Hundreds of people began lining up at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Centennial Arena in Okotoks, two hours before the clinic opened.

Clinics in Okotoks and Cochrane are open for only six hours a day and people aren't happy about it.

"Seems to me to have the clinic open half days for three days, given the size of our population is not terribly efficient," said Okotoks resident Laurie Hodson.

People in Strathmore are also unhappy about their situation.

The town's vaccination clinic is on the second floor of the Travel Lodge and the average wait time there is about 5 hours.

People were lined up out the door of the lobby and when they reached the front of the line they were taken in groups to a holding area inside to wait before they received their shots.

Residents say it is a long difficult process for seniors, small children and pregnant women.

"Not great especially in the cold weather, we can't figure out why they don't have a separate day for expectant kids and mothers and seniors and another day for everyone else, cause there's kids in the line for 4 and a half hours," said Strathmore resident Alicia Entz.

Angry people who spent the better part of the day lined up in Strathmore say there should be a second vaccination clinic in town.
