Theoren Fleury is on tour, promoting "Playing with Fire" and he says his biography has helped other victims of sexual abuse to come forward and seek help.

Fleury talked to CTV Anchor Ian White on our noon show on Monday and talked about the impact his book has had since it was released.

Fleury says a number of people have contacted him to admit they were victimized as well when they were kids.

The book details Fleury's sexual abuse as a junior player by then coach Graham James and the subsequent years that followed when he turned to alcohol and drugs to dull the pain.

Fleury was an NHL star and earned a Stanley Cup with the Flames and an Olympic gold medal with Team Canada.

Fleury's book is currently number one on Amazon.ca's bestseller list.

Theo Fleury is now involved with an organization that helps men who endured sexual abuse as children.
