Police released new details on Tuesday afternoon about the investigation into the deaths of three newborn babies and a 27-year-old woman.

Harsimrat Kahlon's body was found in a Taradale home last week along with the bodies of three infants.

Police confirmed that Kahlon gave birth to a child in a Calgary hospital in 2005 but it is not clear if that baby was among the three found dead in the Taradale home.

Police didn't find the babies during their first search when they were called to the basement suite on Sunday, October 4th.

Officers found only the young woman's body and her death was not considered suspicious because there were no signs of trauma or a struggle.

On Monday, family members called police again after finding one of the dead infants inside the home.

A subsequent search by police then recovered the bodies of the two other newborns.

Police say they will have to rely on forensics to answer many of the questions surrounding this case and they expect to have DNA results on the infants by December.

They say Kahlon's common-law husband is not a suspect and he is cooperating with the investigation.

Police are asking for the public's help to track Harsimrat Kahlon's movements in the days before she died and are asking anyone with information about this case to call police or Crime Stoppers.
