A local massage therapist is charged with sexual assault after Calgary police investigated a complaint from a female client.

35-year-old, Paul James Schell, is charged with one count of sexual assault.

A woman lodged a complaint with police saying that Schell touched her in an inappropriate way and made comments while he was giving her a massage.

Schell was operating a mobile massage therapy service under the name Massage Medics when the alleged incident happened.

Calgary police say that Schell had a number of clients but he is not a registered Massage Therapist and he was operating without a business or practitioner licence.

Police say there are other investigations involving Schell pending.

"There are some investigations that we are still carrying out in regards to other people. At this time we don't know whether that will result in further charges." Said CPS Detective Stephen Harris.

Police urge anyone who is the victim of such an assault to call them immediately.
