Police arrested four protestors outside the site of the luncheon speech by former U.S. president George W. Bush Tuesday.
Protestors were arrested after some became angry when one person was arrested in front of the Telus Convention Centre.
The crowd followed police to the street during the arrests but eventually returned back to the front of the building.
They called Bush a war criminal and many held signs and banners to protest his policies in Iraq.
Charges of breach of peace, obstructing police, and public behaviour were laid.
There is tight security at the convention centre but police did been allowing protestors to stand in front of the Convention Centre despite attempts to have the protest staged one block away in Olympic Plaza.
Those attending the luncheon said despite Bush's reputation, they were interested in hearing what he had to say.
The speech was supposed to begin at noon but it didn't get underway until about two hours late.
