A Calgary man is fighting an aggressive brain tumour and the drug he needs is not covered by Alberta Health Care.

Ryan Westerman's tumour is inoperable and he is relying on drug therapy to keep him alive.

But the drugs will cost 10 thousand dollars per month and the province won't cover them.

His wife has breast cancer and while it is in remission right now, the worry it could come back is adding to the family's stress.

The couple worries about their young son and is hoping the province will complete their review of the drugs Westerman needs in time to help their financial situation.

The family is blogging about their experiences. Click on the attached web link to read more about their story.
