Trans-Cranial Magnetic Stimulation can help Migraine patients. The device is held on the back of your head and can stop the headaches.

The device generates an electro magnetic field that penetrates the skull and short circuits the abnormal electrical activity causing the headache.

A recent study from the Mayo Clinic found that it works with half an hour to two hours, and does not seem to have any side effects. The researchers studied 267 people, half had the real device, and half used a fake.

Trans-Cranial Magnetic Stimulation is used to help treat a number of conditions, everything from depression to stroke.

Currently three clinics in Canada offer the therapy; as well it is used in research settings.
