On September 23rd, a strange man was seen taking pictures of children in a park in the northwest community of Hanson Ranch.

Now parents are being warned after a man fitting the same description was spotted again, taking pictures of children in another northwest park.

On Monday, a mother called police after she saw a man taking pictures of children in a park in the community of Hidden Valley.

The park is just a few blocks away from the first incident in Hanson Ranch.

Kevin Brookwell, a spokesperson with the Calgary Police Service, says the man isn't breaking the law because people are allowed to take pictures in a public park.

"We don't know why this individual is taking those pictures, and until we can talk to somebody to determine if they're being used for an inappropriate or illegal behaviour or circumstance, or for commercial gain - you need to have a person's permission - and certainly that's something we're going to find out."

As a precaution, parents of students at nearby St. Elizabeth Seaton School have been notified. A letter was sent home with students last week, warning parents to be on the lookout for the man.

A mother, whose children were videotaped by the man on September 23rd, says she's upset the man is still at it.

"This is the second occurrence, and the description is exactly the same as the first one. I'm angry this person is lurking around and spying on children."

The man is described as Asian, with a slim build and a grey and black mustache.
