It was slow going on the TransCanada highway Tuesday night after a Greyhound bus caught on fire.

Witnesses tell CTV News it happened around 7:30 p.m. and that the the bus was stopped on the side of the highway in the westbound lanes near Morley.

Flames shot several metres into the air, and all that was left was the burnt out skeleton of the bus.

There are reports all of the passengers and the driver managed to get off the bus safely.

It has not been determined how the bus caught fire.
