An oilsands employee is dead after a workplace accident at a site north of Fort McMurray Tuesday.

The man died around 11:45 a.m. at the Suncor Millenium site.

Occupational Health and Safety officials tell CTV News the man died during an attempt to move a broken down hauling truck to the shop.

A second worker received minor injuries in the accident. 

Occupational Health and Safety is investigating. A verbal stop worke order has been issued for the immediate area surrounding the accident site.

The man's name is not being released until family can be notified.
